Keep Junior NAD Alive!

By: Team D

On June 28, 2013, Youth Leadership Camp (YLC) invited Jeannette Zarembka to give us a presentation on the tools that are needed to run our Junior National Association of the Deaf (Jr. NAD) chapters at our schools. Many schools do not have Jr. NAD chapters so this was a very important opportunity for us. The YLC program hopes her suggestions will keep Jr. NAD running effectively for many more years to come.
During the presentation, she taught us how to become more recognized in the Deaf community. She also showed us many creative ways to run Jr. NAD and shared with us many facts that we never knew about. This is definitely our wake up call because we never truly realized how important Jr. NAD is within our community. The Jr. NAD program is key to achieving equal access within the greater community.
